The Bristol Collective

The CreativeFolk Collective have been running for a while now, inspired by the collectives that exist in Bristol.  Drawn in Bristol, Fig and Blaze pop up at local markets, pop up shops & some even hold a permanent shop that they rent together.

It is great to see opportunities for small, independent artists to work together and create choice for everyone out there.  Recently Drawn in Bristol opened up an open-plan Shared Studio Space for its members at Hamilton House, including printing facilities, collaborative areas and hot-desking options. This launched mid-September 2011 and in turn I am able to use the screenprinting facilities to help me to realise Challenge 3 and 4 of the Createme challenge. Thank you Drawn. Keep up the good work!

Some of my favourites from Drawn include the recent exploration of the mysterious world of beards and facial hair growth in Simon David Mill’s new exhibition at Bristol’s Grain Barge.
