Festive Stockings

As it’s been raining (a lot) we’ve been sitting under  blankets, with steaming mugs of tea, stitching these cute christmas stockings.

We had a load of vintage mangle cloths left over from a wedding and they are so beautiful. The opportunities to up-cycle these as christmas gifts are endless…aprons, upholstering furniture, sacksbags, cushion covers, lampshades, door snakes

Here are the instructions for the stockings, they can be made to any size and we are currently learning to embroider names on the bigger ones. These will look great on the christmas tree.

iheartshabbychic did a piece on stockings last Christmas (and they’ve mastered photography for their work – unlike us!).

We love these with the addition of some lace or some alternative vintage material. Great for the tree or the fireplace depending on the size you choose.

Merry Christmas you lot xxx
